Prepare to be berated by the CEO and receive very little compensation, if any, for your work. As an unpaid intern I was on call throughout the entire week in the event of breaking news.
Instead of relying on paid staff, it’s much cheaper to delegate tasks out to the free work provided by college students trying to boost their resumes. I can understand the business model, but never agreed with it.
